Student Health Center

Health Services

Through a partnership with Sound Medical Associates, a subsidiary of Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, students have access to a team of medical professionals. Nurses and nurse practitioners are available during regular office hours. Physicians are available by appointment. When necessary, referrals can be made to some of the area's top medical specialists. While most services are covered by the student health fees, services such as immunizations, physicals, emergency room visits, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, blood work, medical procedures and consultations off-campus are not covered.

All students are required to submit proof of immunizations and complete a health form prior to beginning their first semester at Mitchell College. Student athletes must provide an additional medical form yearly that clears them to play NCAA division III athletics. Detailed information about these processes is mailed to all incoming students after they have been accepted to the College. Specific questions about health records or immunization documentation can be addressed by contacting the Center for Health and Wellness at (860)701-5195.
