Voluntary Dental Enrollment

The Enrollment Deadline for Voluntary Annual Coverage is closed.

PLEASE NOTE: Students do NOT need to be enrolled in the Student Medical Insurance Plan in order to purchase this Voluntary Dental Product.

Gallagher Student is pleased to offer University of San Diego students a voluntary Dental DMO Plan through Aetna. The Aetna Advantage Dental DMO network includes a broad network of participating dentists that have agreed to offer certain services at a reduced fee for Aetna Student Health members. Here are some of the advantages of the Aetna DMO Plan:

✓ A lower-cost dental benefits plan that gives you cost-effective care through a primary care dentist (PCD). You get the advantage of building a relationship with your PCD.

✓ You pay a set dollar amount at the time of service.

✓ There is just a copay to pay. You do not have a plan deductible

✓ Aetna DMO plans do not have an annual maximum limit. The plan continues to pay benefits for covered procedures throughout the plan year.

Remember:

Students must choose a Primary Care Dentist within the Aetna Network in order to receive dental care.

Referrals are required, except when you visit an orthodontist in our DMO network and you are responsible for the cost of procedures not covered by your plan.

LOCATE A DENTIST: To locate a dentist in your area click here, you can visit www.aetnastudenthealth.com, click on the drop down menu in the upper right hand corner and choose University of San Diego and click Go, and choose "FIND A DOCTOR" from the menu on the left hand side of the screen. Follow the prompts on the screen to locate a participating Dental provider.

ID CARDS: You will receive an ID card from Aetna Advantage Dental within 10-15 business days of the receipt of your enrollment form by Aetna Student Health Enrollment Department.
