Welcome Study Abroad Accident & Sickness Insurance Students
Students and faculty who are traveling abroad should be aware of the importance of maintaining proper insurance coverage while studying in a foreign country. Standard group health care plans often lack the proper coverage for this type of travel and Gallagher Student’s Study Abroad Program is a smart solution.
You may be covered under this plan if you are and enrolled as a full-time student, an Instructor or assistant instructor in a U.S primary school, secondary school, college or university and are temporarily pursuing educational activities outside of the U.S.
Depending upon your needs and situation, you may select a period of coverage from a minimum of one month to a Maximum Benefit Period of 12 months, or 52 weeks.
*The current 2013-2014 policy year has been extended until May 31, 2014. Your coverage start date must begin on or before May 31, 2014 in order to enroll in the current policy year, and you may enroll for up to 12 months of coverage at a time. Please check back on this site for updates on the 2014-2015 policy year, which is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2014. Thank you for your attention to this message and thank you for choosing Gallagher Student Health & Special Risk for your study abroad insurance needs.*
